Coast to Kosciuszko: Portrait of an Ultramarathon

How many ?

Join runners on this iconic Australian ultramarathon.

Australia’s longest footrace, the Coast to Kosciuszko starts at sea level on the coast of New South Wales, and winds through some of the country’s most iconic landscapes to the peak of Australia’s highest mountain.

A rollercoaster ride into the world of ultrarunners, this film follows Tim Turner, one of an eclectic group of entrants who slog their way along the 240-kilometre course to an emotional finish atop the summit of Mount Kosciuszko.

What draws entrants to this extraordinary event? Why endure a physical ordeal of up to 40 hours for the prize of a hat and hatpin? And will a stocky housedad conquer Australia’s most audacious race?
